Michael Anthony Curan is a native filipino,born of both filipino parents.He grew up in a small town of Alicia,province of Bohol,Philippines.He's been expose to music since 5 months old when his nanny used to put radio over his head..At the age of two he already recognize the picture on the LP and knew wich one has been played already. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Growing up with no siblings and playmates,he emersed himself fully in music.He doesnt play any games.He only play with his turntable and cassette player..He listened to his mother and aunt's record collection of Engelbert,ABBA,Paul Anka,Ray Conniff,The Cascades and a whole lot of pop music.But he was greatly fascinated by the music of a guy named ELVIS PRESLEY ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................... He learned to read at the age of 4 and was starting to discovered the vastness of the music world when his mom would take him to a record store.He then bought tapes of his own by looking at the cover.Artist he bought include Roxette,Bryan Adams,ABBA,and of course ELVIS............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... He continue listening to rock music until high school when he passed by the christian music shelves of a record store and found Collin Raye's Direct hits.Out of curiousity,he bought the album.Later he found out that the message of the album is about love,life,and family.But what fascinated him was the music.it was different! Later,his aunt told him that the music's genre is called country.Similar to ELVIS but with a modern twist. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................ ............... Then in junior high school,he met a fellow named Oscar Leo Aton.Together they played under the name THE MACROCOWBOYS. covering songs by Philippine rock band Eraserheads,country-pop Lonestar,alt-country-pop The Moffatts,ELVIS,pop band 5ive,and country superstar Alan Jackson.They later add two females namely Crystal and Jenny and covered more artist including The Corrs,M2M,and Sixpence None The Richer. ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. The band disbanded when they graduated high school. ................................................................................................................................................ Michael then pursue a college carrier.He first enrolled in nursing course at Holy Name University in Tagbilaran City,Bohol.There he also pursue his music carrier by singing solo.It was also there where he found Jesus as personal Lord and Savior.He then realized the true meaning of the word 'christian' and started writing faith-based songs. ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. Then in year 2002,he transferred to Cebu City to study another course;Medical Technology at Cebu Doctors' College.......................................................................................................................................................................... Michael Anthony Curan works as a solo act.He then penned the song "LAY IT ALL DOWN"and performed it at a local radio station.He also wrote a song for his friend DIndo Tingga and his band THE STRINGS called "Can I Still make You My Friend?" ...........................................................................................................................................................
